All speakers of PD use self-developed and produced electroacoustic transducers, and have intellectual property rights in the molds and design of all components involved in the units.
Compression driver: One of the key factors in the manufacturing of compression drivers is accuracy. PD has a design patent that can eliminate tolerance accumulation, eliminating the need to use washers to adjust the distance between the diaphragm and throat plug like its Italian counterparts, greatly improving consistency and increasing production efficiency. Through advanced FEA finite element simulation analysis, it is found that when the size of the spherical top shaped diaphragm is small, such as below 44mm, the vibration mode of the diaphragm is still good. However, when its size is large, severe segmented vibration will occur in the high-frequency range, resulting in a sharp reduction in radiation area and staggered peaks and valleys. This not only reduces radiation efficiency, but also deteriorates sound quality. The design philosophy of Pindi is to use spherical top shaped diaphragms for small sizes, while circular diaphragms are always used for large sizes, greatly improving radiation efficiency and optimizing sound quality, greatly increasing the operating limit of the driver. Compared with the famous Italian compression driver, Pindi's self-designed compression driver not only has better manufacturing and sound quality, but also has no inferior reliability.
